The theme of the 2013 PyeongChang Biennale of 'Earth Harmony' is a consideration of life in harmony.
Existing in harmony means that more than two sounds are gathered to make a chord. The sounds that compose the chord are various, such as pure and positive sound, cry for hope, bursting out in laughter, creaking sound of conflict, sour sound of criticism, moan in pain, low sound of reflecting and confessing, and the heart touching cry, etc.
The Earth Harmony is a special chord created by these sounds.
The social issues such as war, racial discrimination and environmental destruction that had occurred since life was born in Earth are like dissonance arousing from the imbalance between human and the environment.
The 2013 PyeongChang Biennale is expected to find the balance between humans and between human and the nature through the three keywords of 'peace, human and environment', and to deliver the unified sound of starting the change to the world.
